What is Modern Freemasonry?

Welcome to The American Canadian Grand Lodge Homepage

I am very pleased that you have taken the time to visit us!  The fact that you have found us, shows you are interested in Freemasonry.  So, take your time, look around, hopefully you will find that one of our 46 Lodges is near to you, and perhaps you would like to meet or talk to one of our brethren personally.

Freemasonry is the world’s oldest and largest Fraternity.  Its history and tradition dates to ancient times.  Its singular purpose is to make good men better.  Freemasonry's bonds of friendship, compassion and brotherly love have survived even the most divisive political, military, and religious conflicts throughout the centuries. Freemasonry is neither a forum nor a place for worship.
Instead, it is a friend of all religions and is based on the belief of a supreme architect of the universe.

Recognized throughout the world, our members come from the four quarters of the globe, making us truly multicultural, with many different religions under one roof – working together in harmony and peace! The American Canadian Grand Lodge practices Freemasonry mainly in the English Language, but we also have German and French-speaking Lodges.
